After wood has been collected throughout the year...
Winter means more time in the shop! That's when most of the wood I've collected over the past year gets flattened, sanded, shaped and transformed into something resembling what I envisioned when selecting rough wood slabs. I try to collect about a dozen slabs a year and this usually involves visiting multiple sites near and far.
